The Examined Life
This scholarship was established by Beth Johns ('96) to promote self-reflective thinking.

Jack W. Hines Memorial
The family of Dr. Jack W. Hines established this scholarship in 1977 as a memorial to a man who served Truman as an instructor of political science from 1968 through 1976.

Dr. William Kitts Memorial
Friends and relatives have memorialized Dr. William Kitts through a scholarship endowed in 1983. Kitts came to Truman in 1966 and served as associate professor of social science education through his retirement in 1978.

Bonnie (Neuner) and Kevin Kuebler Social Science
This annual scholarship was established in 2000 by Bonnie (Neuner) ('87) and Kevin Kuebler ('90) to provide financial support for a deserving social science student.

John and Denise Teal Sociology and Anthropology
The purpose of this endowed scholarship fund is to provide scholarships to US citizens with high financial need at Truman State University. Preference is given to students majoring in Sociology or Anthropology. The fund will be established with an estate gift from the Teals. John Teal is a 1978 graduate of Truman State University and retired senior nuclear specialist with First Energy Corporation. He served in the US Army, attaining the rank of Sergeant. Denise Teal is a 1977 graduate of Truman and retired from a career in law and other business ventures. This scholarship is presented to students in appreciation of the educational opportunities the Teals received from Truman State University.
